Zippo compliance

Zippo active and non-active stock

Which Zippo items you may resell on Amazon, eBay and other marketplaces, and which you may not. Worth reading before you list anything.

What the statuses mean

Active stockIn Zippo's current catalog and findable on zippo.com. These may NOT be sold on Amazon, eBay or any other third-party marketplace.
Non-active stockNo longer in the current catalog. The marketplace restriction does not apply, so these can be listed.
Custom designsYour own imprinted design is not catalog stock, so it is eligible too. This is the route most dealers take.
Authorization comes firstEligible is not the same as allowed. You need prior written authorization from Zippo and your seller name registered with them before you list anything.
US onlyZippo cannot be shipped or sold outside the United States, whatever its stock status.
UOMAP appliesZippo's Unilateral Online Minimum Advertised Price policy governs what you may advertise online, separately from where you may list.

Why this page exists

Selling the wrong Zippo on a marketplace is the fastest way for a dealer to lose their authorization, and the rule is not obvious: it depends on whether the exact item is in Zippo's current catalog, not on whether it is in stock with us.

Every Zippo product page on this site shows its stock status under Product details, with what that status means for you. If you are unsure about a specific item, ask us before you list it.

Next step

Not sure about a specific item?

Ask us before you list it. We will tell you its current status and walk you through Zippo authorization if you need it.
